KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. A subsidiary of PT Arkora Hydro Tbk ( ARKO ), namely PT Arkora Hydro Malili, signed an electricity power sale and purchase agreement with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). This signing was carried out on Thursday (21/12)

This Electricity Sales and Purchase Agreement involves PT Arkora Hydro Malili in utilizing minihydro power resources known as minihydro power plants (PLTM), to produce a total power of 10 megawatts (MW).

The term of this contract is 25 years with a build own operate transfer ( BOOT) scheme. This project is located in South Sulawesi and is expected to benefit the wider community in terms of electricity use.

" The signing of the new contract will have a positive impact in moving the company's business forward. "This contract is the result of our team's hard work and dedication, and is a big step in strengthening the company's position in the market," said Aldo Artoko, President Director of Arkora Hydro in a press release, Friday (22/12).

This partnership marks an important step for ARKO and provides important benefits for the company's fundamental aspects such as business growth . This partnership also creates new opportunities for business expansion and strengthens ARKO's existence in the market.

By utilizing renewable energy resources, ARKO actively contributes to providing electricity not only for the South Sulawesi region but also throughout Indonesia. So, this can improve the quality of life of local communities and encourage economic development.

With this agreement, ARKO and its subsidiaries have a power plant contract with a total capacity of 42.8 MW, growing 30.5% and with a total pipeline of 200 MW

" This asset portfolio increases our contribution to meeting growing energy needs and encourages our dedication to a sustainable clean energy future ," said Aldo.

Aldo hopes that ARKO's contribution to the renewable energy sector can be part of the solution to current global environmental challenges. It is hoped that this collaboration will be a real example of the private sector and government working together to create positive change in society and the environment. He hopes to continue to strengthen ARKO's partnership with PLN and all other stakeholders.
